Refund Policy – MCO Consultants Inc. eLearning Services

This Refund Policy applies to the following service types, each of which has different refund rules:

  • eLearning Services (self-paced online courses and bundles)
  • Live Online Workshops (scheduled, instructor-led virtual sessions)

  1. Satisfaction Guarantee and Refund Window

We want you to feel confident in your purchase. If you are not satisfied with a course, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date, provided your request meets the conditions outlined below.

  1. How to Request a Refund

  • Log in to your account and select the Request a Refund tab on the left-hand account navigation menu.
  • Submit a request using the Contact Us Form. Include the heading: “Request Refund.”
  • Complete the request form, including the following information in the body of the form:
  1. Learner’s Information
    • Full name
    • Email address used to purchase the course
    • Organization name (if applicable)

  1. Course Details
    • Course title(s) purchased
    • Date of purchase
    • Order or transaction number (if available)

  1. Reason for Refund (Required but Limited)
    • A brief explanation for requesting the refund, used solely for quality improvement and refund eligibility assessment. Detailed justifications are not required.

  1. Payment Information
    • Payment method used (e.g., credit card, invoice, subscription)
    • Confirmation that the requester is the original purchaser or authorized organizational contact

  • Choose your preferred refund method (see #4).
  • Submit the request, and you will receive a confirmation email.

Refund requests made more than 14 days after purchase will not be eligible.

  1. Conditions That May Affect Refund Eligibility

MCO Consultants Inc. reserves the right to refuse or limit refunds if any of the following apply:

  • A substantial portion of the course content has been accessed, streamed, downloaded, or completed, such that the digital content has been meaningfully consumed, prior to the refund request.
    • A substantial portion of the course is generally defined as completion or access of approximately 25–30% or more of total course content, including videos, downloadable materials, or assessments. MCO Consultants Inc. reserves the right to assess access on a case-by-case basis. By accessing course content, you acknowledge that you are receiving immediate access to digital content.
  • There’s evidence of repeated or “serial” refund requests by the same learner for the same or multiple courses.
  • The Learner’s account is suspended, banned, or otherwise restricted because of a violation of our Terms and Conditions of Service policy.
  • The purchase was made using a payment method or sales channel (e.g., third-party promotions) that restricts refundability (such as certain in-app purchases).

In such cases, any partial refund or account credit is issued at our sole discretion based on the extent of course access and the circumstances of the request.

  1. Refund Method

If eligible, refunds will be issued either:

  • To your original payment method, or
  • As a credit in your MCO Consultants Inc. account (to use toward future course purchases), when original payment method refund is not available.

If you choose the credit option, the credit will be applied immediately after your refund request is processed. Refunds to original payment methods may take 5–10 business days (or more, depending on your financial institution) to appear.

  1. Non-Refundable Products and Services

The following are not eligible for refunds under this policy (unless otherwise required by applicable law):

  • Subscription-based plans, once the subscription period has begun, unless a different policy explicitly applies or a refund is required by New Brunswick law. Subscription plans are governed by Section 5 of our Terms and Conditions of Service.
  • Bundles or special packages purchased via third-party vendors
  • Individual coaching, mentorship, or live-event registrations once access is provided or the session date passes

  1. Organizational and Business Purchases

Courses purchased by organizations, employers, or other entities for multiple learners are considered commercial transactions and may not be subject to the same consumer protection rights as individual purchases under New Brunswick law. Refunds for organizational purchases are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  1. Abuse of Refund Policy

If a refund request is submitted after the 14-day window, involves substantial course completion, or reflects a pattern of frequent refund requests, or if you have completed a major portion of the course, MCO Consultants Inc. reserves the right to deny the refund or grant only a partial credit. All refund requests are reviewed in good faith, taking into account course usage, timing of the request, and applicable legal obligations.

  1. Live Online Workshops – Refund Policy

Due to the scheduled and capacity-limited nature of Live Online Workshops, refunds are subject to the following conditions:

  • Full refund available if cancellation is requested at least 7 calendar days before the scheduled workshop date
  • No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop start date
  • No refunds for non-attendance or partial attendance
  • If MCO Consultants Inc. cancels or reschedules a workshop, registrants may choose:
    • A full refund, or
    • Transfer to a rescheduled or alternative workshop
  • Substitutions of attendees may be permitted with advance written notice.

  1. Exceptions and Legal Compliance (New Brunswick)

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights a consumer may have under the New Brunswick Consumer Protection Act or other applicable provincial or federal legislation.

Where required by New Brunswick law, refunds will be issued notwithstanding the limitations set out in this policy, including in circumstances involving unfair practices, misrepresentation, or other statutory consumer rights. In such cases, refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

  1. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick and is subject to mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be waived.

  1. Policy Changes

MCO Consultants Inc. reserve the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will apply prospectively and will not affect purchases made prior to the change.

All refund determinations are made at the sole discretion of MCO Consultants Inc., subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
